She had this to say about why she enjoys Second Life:
I joined SecondLife back in December 2006, because a band I liked was doing a virtual concert. I missed the concert, but stayed nonetheless...
I'm into lots of things within the metaverse. Music is a big thing for me and being a club co-owner pretty much since i started in SL has kept me here, along with my love of club DJing, which again I've been doing almost since day one. I've been lucky enough to run 2 clubs and DJ at some pretty cool SL/RL crossover events, as well as the yearly SL Birthday celebrations inworld and events such as SecondPride and Burning Life/Burn2 over the years. The other passion of mine that drew me in is my love of cars and all things automotive, something that I was fortunate enough to combine with music when I worked with the now defunct RL car manufacturer Pontiac, on their SL Motorati Island sim complex, both as club owner and estate staff. Over the years, I've not only been (and of course still am) a club owner, but I've also co-owned and run various motorsports complexes as well as competed in various SL racing leagues and formulas, from stock cars, drag racing and drifting, which is something I love and am still involved with, albeit on a more social basis...
The other reason I've been in SL for so long and have no intentions of leaving is my other half, Sable. We've been together for several years now and were in a mutual admiration bond pretty much from the first moment we met in 2006, always admiring from afar until circumstances allowed things to develop back in 2009 and we've not looked back since. We've both been involved with Republik for a long time, she longer than me and we've also enjoyed creating builds at Burning Life/Burn2 over the last few years too. We're constantly evolving our sim, NuRepublik, the club and the surrounding area and working alongside each other is just as much fun as what comes afterwards, but we'll not go into that here ;)
DJing, music and cars all still hold my interest in SL, as well as the love of my wife (sorry boys) and I have just as much fun in the virtual world as I do in the real one. It allows me to own things that would never be within my reach on the other side of the screen, such as my collection of cars that'd make Jay Leno jealous.
Look wise, I'm very much me. I do wear skirts once in a while, but they're rare occasions and even rarer sightings of me in dresses have been known to occur too, but I usually stay in my street/skate based apparel, which is what I feel the comfiest in, both in and out of the virtual world. I'm very much into the alt-girl style, as can be defined by the likes of the Suicide Girls website etc. so i usually blend the street/skate and alt-girl styles together to be me. I'm also pretty easy to spot with the dark magenta hair, which has sort of become my signature within SL over the years.
