Digits, Take 2

Hey Everyone,

I woke up today and saw the What's Your Digit's- Take 2 The Mesh Revolution on Strawberry Singh's blog, so decided to take part. I didn't last year, because I was not a blogger and did not have that great a computer, but it was interesting to see people's numbers nonetheless. She asks a few questions:

1. How has the introduction of mesh affected your SL, if at all? Are you open to wearing mesh often or do you still shy away from it?

It's made it a million times better! I honestly used to hate messing around with prims, sometimes for an hour, to get everything to fit perfectly. Mesh of course does not resolve all of those issues, but it's so much easier to just throw on something and tweak a few sliders. 

2. Have you changed your shape to fit into mesh? If so, did you go bigger or smaller?

It depends on the brand. Even the standard sizing isn't really across the board standard. I save outfits, all of them. So if I tweak a shape a bit for an outfit, it gets saved with the outfit. I end up with a million different shapes, but oh well..lol

3. Do you think the mesh deformer will resolve a lot of the issues people seem to have with mesh and will it encourage you to wear mesh more often, if you don’t already?

I'm really not sure if it will resolve a lot of people's issues. We will have to wait and see, and I have not honestly gone that deeply into the issue. 

All in all, I love mesh. I've mentioned in previous posts that it is difficult for me to wear prim clothing, and I am slowly deleting a lot of system clothing as well.

Feeling a Little Fae Look # 19

Hello Lovelies,

Today, my daughter and I watched Fern Gully, and later it got me to thinking of some of my favorite shops in Second Life that provide fantasy wear. One of the stores that is at the very top of my list is Evie's Closet. I love her attention to detail, the colors she uses, and the fact that she has jumped on the petite bandwagon (which is, of course old news).

And now I'm thinking its definitely time for me to find a new Roleplay venue!

Look #18

Hey Everyone:)

Yesterday, Maitreya came out with two group gifts. The first, not shown here, are Mesh eyelashes. I do hope she comes out with a wide range of lashes, I like mine a bit bigger. But they fit well, and looked awesome on.

Cuteness Overload Look #16

Hey Lovelies:)

Just a quick look for today, and again, another post from the Fairy Tales in 2012 event. Did I mention I think I bought everything there? lol

I love the ears from LaGyo. Adorable. And the lovely shade of blue on the dress. The only negative thing I have to say, and this is in a more general way, is that I wish mesh creators would include a "fade to black" tattoo layer like ColdLogic does, so that it is easier to pose while sitting in dresses.

Lisp is at the event, offering four sets of wall plates, each with a theme. My favorite is the Alice Plates. You can also get the Mannequin, which also comes with a table sized version, by Art Dummy.

Kyootness Look #15

I love the crystal shoes by Ison. They have a hud that you can change the color of the cystal on. For this picture, I picked black.

I'm also always a sucker for Kyoot. They are one of my favorite brands, and fit well with my everyday style in world, with a few edgier pieces. I'm loving the crown with the face covering.

The Light Within Look #14

Hello Lovelies:)

Yesterday I did a dark theme, so today I'm doing a lighter one. It seem's I really can not get enough of the Fairy Tales event.. I've got at least two more looks lined up hopefully!

The dress that I am wearing is done by Ladies Who Lunch. I love the flower details along the sleeves, and the silvery white color.

I did have a bit of trouble finding a pose that I wanted to use for the pictures, so I used one from Diesel Works, and then used the Animare hud to position the head and hands to my liking. You can find the hud here: Animare and it is 299L.

Lastly, the sim I took the pictures on is The Lost Realm. A very beautiful sim worth exploring. There are a lot of nooks and crannies everywhere. Here is the link: The Lost Realm

The Darkness Within Look #13

Hey everyone:)

Today I'm doing a rather dark theme. I went to the Fairy Tales in 2012 event, and saw this outfit by Sakide and had to have it. It comes with a mesh corset, and the rest of the outfit is sculpts and prims. I must admit, it's been awhile since I've had to adjust prims!

Fantastic LilyV1 Look #12

Hey Lovelies!

Today I'm focusing on LilyV1 that came out three days ago by Belleza, but that I have not had time to blog. I'm finally getting around to it, yay!

So far, I'm loving the Lily line, and my favorite part has to be the bellybutton and the..ahem.. private bit. I do however like the nipples on older skins. I also really like the skin tones and the small body differences from previous releases.

I decided to do three pictures, each one focusing on a red, blonde and brown hair color, with the main focus being the red hair.

In the first picture I used an application that I am sure most of you have heard about, PicMonkey. I came across it awhile ago on strawberrysingh.com. She has a lot of awesome tips on her website. I love playing around with it, but rarely use it on my blog, as I'm trying to give a good representation of what the items will look like in world without a lot of editing.

Hi there!

Mmhmm, *sings* "I'm a Barbie girl in an SL World!" Yes, its time to step it up and dress it up. This glittery and lacey pink Mesh dress from Sea Hole caught my eye, and is very reminiscent of Barbie circa 1980's for me, which is exactly what I was going for. The hair is from D!VA, love the high side pony tail and the pink bow! I wear black hair usually, and the onyx color I bought wasn't as dark as I would like it, but nonetheless I love the style, the curls and the ribbon. Too cute!

Spring Showers Look #9

Well, I figured I could still use the title "Spring Showers" for another four days until summer officially hits! We are still having crappy weather in this part of the world though, so here is to hoping it warms up!

Yummy coldLogic Look #7

Hey Lovelies:)

Today I bring you my favorite new release from the collection of dresses that coldLogic had released yesterday. The Bardot Dress. I love the two tones with the black running through it, and it comes in some lovely colors.

A day at the beach Look #6

Hello Lovelies!

A Stroll through Mayfair Look #2

I will start of this post by saying that I was a little skeptical of mesh at first, however, as the months have gone by, I am now a full convert and actually have a hard time wearing system clothes!
